Hey everyone--
Roxy & I want to invite our fellow mtb'ers to join us at the Firecracker 50mi race in Breckenridge, CO, on the fourth of july.

We're leaving Sat morning. I did it last year and it's a blast. Long climbs, great views, smoking singletrack downhills, 8 aid stations across the 25mi lap. Last year I finished in 5:11, so its just long enough to make you feel worked, short enough to stay up and drink beer and celebrate the fourth with fireworks. And there's free BBQ & beer after the race. The race starts with the Breck 4th of July parade, so the whole town cheers you on. Its sweet.
Rox & I booked a 2 bedroom/2bath condo, with kitchen, grill, etc. Anyone interested in coming out and racing, we've got a place for you to crash. The more the merrier, and the cheaper. Good times for all.
Call or email me if you're interested!

This is by far one of the best Mtb. events in the US. Kudos to Mike McCormick and his staff for creating a race for a true off road rider. Everyone should at least try it once.

Come on, MOD. Its got JT's "thumbs up", now Kent's gotta give ya the time off.
Thumb's up and time off isn't the problem. But ridin' for 5 plus hours might by. Oh wait, if ryan did it in 5 I should be able to do it in 3 right? hummmmmm...
There's some fun downhill. But their ain't THAT much DH. You gotta climb first. I'd leave some Clif Bar crumbs at the top so you can see which way to go.
