Larry, Alex, Shim, Dickey, & Rox all came out for Tony's ride yesterday. T-Bone, Rusty, Moto-SA, Big Dean & Pat, Lucas, & Kristian all met us at the Pizza Shoppe for brews & pie. It rained just before the ride, as I was riding to Benson for the start, but then it all cleared up. Theme of the night: the trails were "on time." Even the hit the riverside north trails, just as Tony would have it. Good times, good memories of our friend were shared by all.

Looks like you guys had a good turnout. Did you miss the rain? It came down pretty good in east Lincoln, I mean at Lakeside hospital
We got Annie home safe and sound. She's making a quick recovery.
Six of us in total. Tony taunted me with rain as I was lubing my chain... so I started the ride from home in the wet. Met up with Larry & Alex, Dickey, Shim, and Roxy @ the Pizza Shoppe in Benson. Rode to L&C & did a lap. Full report to be posted tomorrow.
Shim is sportin the old school spin city jersey too. WWTonyD?
Great ride, guys. I miss the old school rides, leaving from the shop, cruising through the 'hoods to get to the trails. Now we're all freaking driving everywhere. Sheesh. But no more negative talk, by golly. We hammered out a couple hours worth of pavement and dirt on behalf of our friend, a fallen warrior. I didn't know Tony all that well, but sharing the love for the bike was enough. He had a short life and is somewhat of a folk legend 'round these parts. Kinda cool. A lot of guys that showed up had great stories to tell about their friend. There was a lot of laughter and joy. What a great gift he gave to us.
Dickey said it's hard to believe it's been 3 years. All I could think of was that's three years of hooking up on the most pristine single track one could imagine.
Lucky SOB.
