T.H.O.R. members and friends of T.H.O.R. should consider making a trip this weekend north to Ponca State Park. We have been building a strong relationship with Park Super Jeff Fields. He is very interested in having new trails designed with T.H.O.R's assistance. REPEAT - He would like our input on building mountain bike trails !!!!
This weekend he asked if we would be willing to promote recreational mountain biking, trail work, various riding areas in the Eastern Nebraska, Western Iowa region, and Psycowpath racing at the Missouri River Outdoor Expo on Sept 24-25 hosted by NGPC at PSP. The plan is to cover both Saturday and Sunday. If we have 3-4 people each day, it will allow ample opportunity to go ride besides sitting at an outdoor booth promoting the sport. We plan to bring a couple of EZ Ups, some tables, and some extra bikes, plus some basic T.H.O.R. and IMBA literature, maps, and info about events coming up.
Dean will be leading up the efforts on Saturday and Mike Resetar will be heading it up on Sunday. Who else is willing to help out??? This opportunity is way to good to pass up. Good Luck and 3p0 if you want to ride to Ponca I will drive you back home, not costing you a penny of dead dinosaurs.
Would love to help out but gotta work the whole weekend. We'll just be gettin' back from Vegas and need to relieve the troops. Sounds like a great oppurtunity.
