The Bixbys accompanied Ryan and me to the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts' annual art auction. I don't know what this went for, but minimum bids were in the thousands. Needless to say we were just there for the food and drink. We love the arts.
yo mod, i'll have to join you guys up there during one of the 1st fridays. i always hit the galleries here in lincoln, love the free food and wine... and the art. what galleries do you usually go to? bemis, and ??? are they all more or less downtown? do you ride to them? good thing about the lincoln scene... you can hit about 4-5 openings and then head south along 8th st for a night loop through wilderness.
Pancakes and I have a friend that co-owns the Darkroom gallery. Sometimes we'll hit Jackson. We have a another friend who makes eyewear and he is displaying at Jackson artworks. Pancakes is more connected than me. I'm kind of along for the ride. Lemme know if you guys want to come up. We can ride, drive, walk, run, drink...whatever!
