Good crowd was ta Manawa yesterday (Sunday) to put in the TTF's. Mike had a great crew (15ppl+), with EJ, Big Dean, Mark, Paul, and many more helpin out. The TTF's are gonna be sweet, with sections that even racer geeks (me) can ride, and some good skinnies for the crazy folks.
Taking CVO's inspiration, I went dumpster diving and found an old tape adapter, pulled out my 14yr old ghetto blaster, plugged everything into my ipod.... and strapped it into the BOB. Rode out to Manawa with Roxy. I hung out at Manawa providing some tunes for the construction, roxy went on to the Wabash and rode south with Christine. We met up later to ride home. Roxy got 53 miles in!
The bob rails the corners pretty well, but ain't so great for the log hopping. I managed to bust two knobs off the ghetto blaster. Not sure if everything is finished at Manawa, I had to take off to get home before dark. Mark's not even working today, maybe he'll quit being lazy and post some pics and recap of yesterday's construction.
Temps in the 70s again this week. Rusty is gathering a crowd to check out the new stuff on Thursday: Benson bike Club Thursday Night Ride, its on!
Rox & I wrapped up Sunday night with some homemade burritos, a few brews, and Oliver Stone's JFK. Checkin out the Lincoln site, looks like everyone made a great weekend of it.

Man, I wanted to get to Manawa to help out, So did Jesse P. but I only had so much time to do my riding and spending 3 of those hours in a car to get to Manawa and then back home. wansn't in the cards.
maybe if I didn't have the honey do list, but damn, my yard looks good right now. The cheet and I were even thinking of chippin some golf balls in the front yard
Sounds like you guys had a good crew.
nothing better than having your own music behind you when your riding your bike, yeah, headphones are all good, but your own theme music when riding, that's the shit.
lots of bungie cords and an old pillow works the best for when your gonna rail the bob off road...
I'm gonna have to save up for a new system I think. the radio is on the skids....
well,
you guys have a good day
hopefully we'll see some of you guys at Platte for a wednesday night ride.
