Kids MTB Summer Camp

Check it out, cool mountain bike summer camp. Sign up your little grommets and get 'em off the couch and onto the singletrack!

Eastern Nebraska 4-H Center in Gretna along with the University Nebraska Lincoln Extension and River City Hockey and Cycling is proud to announce it's first annual "Biking Bound" Mountain Bike Camp for Boys and Girls ages 11-15. The camp runs from June 26-29, 2006.

This camp is a 3 night, 4 day summer camp complete with all the things kids love about summer camp. Day 1 will be spent on bike maintenance, and safety orientation, along with an exciting riding experience at Schramm State Park.

Day 2 will be spent at Swanson Park, Day 3 at Indian Caves and Day 4 at Platte River State Park.

Along with the Mountain Biking, campers will also participate in Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Zip Lines, Swimming and tell their best stories around campfires!!!!!

Participants will receive a free water bottle and a 10% discount at River City Hockey and Cycling from the time of registration up to the week of the camp. Campers should bring their own mountain bike and helmet, and parents, other safety equipment such as gloves are helpful. Any other equipment you want to send with your child is optional, yet helpful for his or her riding experience. Just see your friendly employee at River City Hockey and Cycling for suggestions.

This camp is open to the total beginner all the way up to the experienced racer. All ability levels are welcome and encouraged to sign up.

The camp is located at the eastern Nebraska 4-H Center, right next to Schramm State Park.

that's super cool. mod, do you know who's coordinating that camp? i'd like to see how i can volunteer.

maybe i could carry water for all the kids at least?!
