You can still show up if yunto.
Dale and his Bike Masters peeps cancelled their Mon night ride, but they are still gathering to go hit the trail with shovels and hair dryers.
OK, no hair dryers, but Dale really is strapping on a light and gonna shovel the trails, to help things move along in the melting phase we're gonna have real soon. That man wants to put on a race!
Remember, this is Nebraska, and anything can happen. Stay tuned to nebraskacyclingnews.com for the latest updates on races and trail conditions.

I shoveled a couple hundred yards of it last night before the rest of the snow fell. In the woods, there were only a couple inches in most places. I shook the evergreen limbs weighed down across the trail with snow. Some of them will probably need to be taken out.
The open sections had about 6-8" at that time. I need to find a snow blower and try clearing as much trail as possible with that.
I will see how the trail clears and moisture content over the next couple of days. By that time, we will have a forecast for next week as well. If the trail can be cleared for racing March 25, I would rather race it while frozen rather than get a big melt next week with several days of rain and a potentional mud fest on April 1.
If we don't race March 25 or April 1, it will be several months or more before the Nebraska cycling calendar and Tranquility Park calendars coincide with a free Saturday. So depending on trail conditions and weather forecast, we really want to decide on the best date between March 25 and April 1.
