Trail Day Report

Well we had our first maintenance day at Swanson this morning, despite the rain and "spring forward" we had a pretty good turn out for about 32 man hours of work. Two chainsaws were a rip-en almost non-stop.

The powerline bypass is completely in, most of the log crossings are fixed up and we added a new big one were we removed an old one. The trail is super-saturated right now so it needs a couple days to dry out.

Many thanks to;

Frank
Bob
Steve
Matt
??? Zeus's owner
Troy
And of course the queen of the clippers Christine.

Next maintenance day is Sunday 16 April, same time. Priority for the next maint date is fixing the washed out downhill east of the Fire Department training area and adding waterbars and drainage in areas showing the beginning of serious erosion. Bring your polo bikes and coolers for post maint activities next time.
