I would have rode like I did the other 4 days of this week, but I had 2 problems.

1. I had to look swanky to help out the board of regents people at UNMC with their presentions so I didn't want wrinkly clothes in a backpack and..

2. Ya know that construction on the Keystone next to Aksarben?? Thursday, after riding that very same section in the morning with no construction, then riding home (and being completely distracted from a CAR DRIVING over the middle bridge from the soccer fields, I ran right into that orange mesh fence at 20 mph. I endoed and landed directly on my back cushioned by my cell phone, keys, perscription glasses(now in many pieces), and various other back-friendly items in my jersey pockets. Normally when they put up that mesh, there's large "Road Closed Ahead" signs in the middle of the trail. There was no such warning when I got reverse clothes-lined by that near invisible evil fence. Don't ask me how, but a few other cyclists and I just didn't see the stuff. Right after my crash, an older woman almost ran into the other mesh fence since she was gandering around like a normal bike rider. I mean, really, how often do you stare directly ahead at a paved trail? I'm one sore pup now so the road race in Iowa or the mtb race at L&C aint happenin this weekend. Good luck and have fun to those enjoying the perfect weather at Clark and Lewis!

I road into work today without nearly the incident and back ache as the ride described above. It was a freaking beautiful morning, I will say that.
