The CCB report...
Hey Mod. Thought you'd like to know. The Kanza went good. Wills finished at around 11 pm. He rode like the train he is. MW looked good throughout and finished strong with 2 others for the last 30 miles beating a thunder storm by a few minutes. I rode well until the fuel tank blew a gasket and wouldn't hold any calories. I was able to put down some water but nothing else. Managed that for over 40 miles before I called it quits at 142 miles. Dave, the last place guy, rode the last hour in the rain and then was hit by a car 3 blocks from the finish. He ended up ok thankfully. The ride was beautiful. very scenic. good climbs, great roads, and low water crossings. All in all a good day. And as expected everyone loved the cowbell.
Talked with Rob Pennel from Badger Cycles and Dejay Birch from Genuine Innovations. Rob rode the first part and then called it quits which was good for me since he is the one who gave me a ride back to Emporia. Dejay had a bum knee and called it quits after 85. Good people to hang out with though.

Welp, good work fella's, you make that rest of us appear sane.
Too bad you popped an o-ring, I saw some photos. Looked sweet!
Beautiful enough I may even think of doing it some year.
