I'm typically massively underwhelmed by the MTB press but finally, after months of mediocrity, bike hit the bullseye. Run out and pick up your July issue, you won't be disappointed.
I found myself in CB this weekend, out on the Reno/Flag/Bear/Deadman's ride (stellar!), oh, about halfway through, taking a chow break and a dude rolls up wearing a Sunflower Bike Shop Jersey. "Hey! You're from Kansas!" Yup. We chatted for a bit about midwest riding, Landahl, etc, and he mentions that he knew the Trek Omaha dudes, namely Mod.
Wierd, eh? Especially since we saw a whopping 3 people out on that trail Saturday.
I was just thinking about the good ole' days at Crusted Butt with DK,BK,DS,LV,TN,KW and the rest of the old SNORT crew. We'd go every year for FTBW. This July will be 14 years ago since we first went!

I didn't catch his name. He's going to school at Wasted State (Western, in Gunny, I think). He mentioned hooking up with you for a road ride?
We were leaving just as ftbw was starting. Even monday, we could feel town revving up.
