Look to the right of the light pole on the crash photo and you can see the Mt. bikers line. I got pushed up on the side walk, around two pedestrians and jumped back on the course 20 yards up hill. The rider next to me grabbed a fist full of front brake when he saw the curb and went airborne OTB.
My engine was a bit under horsepowered for the day, but the MTB skills did pay off with the avoidance of road rash this year. (-:
Man that kid in the middle pic looks so fast! Too bad he is wearing that Major MO-tion (emph. on the MO)jersey. I guess he didn't want to get his only Trek/VW jersey worn out. haha :)
