What I forgot and then some

That's an aweful lot of pink on that map and it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon. Luckily it was only about 75 when we rode at Platte this morning. Head out early if you wanna ride.

Sounds like the Scheels Warriors Cup race was pretty cool. Wish I could have been there. Check out some pics over at the FFL.

I kind of dropped the ball as well on Thursday night, Oops! Forgot my camera. Probably better since it was wetter than crap. My eyes were weeping Wabash silt for 3 days.

But what the hell, the ride out there was sweet when you're surrounded by a bunch of GB's. It was wet, a little sloppy, but what can you do. Rick and Carol brought me a 32oz. of Colt 45 and a bag full of luau leis for everyone. And if Ricks there, you know his BOB trailer with "le system" is there too. Met a couple new Lincoln guys, Larkin and Sean, who are living in Omaha now. Larkin's opening a wine shop /smoke shop in Benson soon. So check it out some time and buy some wine. After a little break at the tunnel to let the approaching shelf cloud by, we went for it. By the time we got to Mineola the party was going pretty good. The buffet was closing, but fortunately, Rosie, bless her heart, prepared the nine of us a fine BBQ sandwhich to go platter. Thanks to Rosie, the ride home was a million times better. Carol and Rick then surprised us more when they pulled out a bag of Twizzlers and beef jerky. Nothin' like drinking beer through a Twizzler straw! The ride home was more of the same slop, but a damn fine time.

So what's in store? Well the word in Mineola on Saturday was that their going to give the luau another shot this Thursday, so if you missed it the first time don't make the same mistake twice. Sounds like CVO is dragging the boys back up for the sequel. It's gonna be HOT, HOT, HOT!!! So bring water, bring beer, maybe a little food just in case...and don't forget your bike.
