Well lookey what Round Eye drug in
Sam wrenches for Cameron, Cameron raced the Nats at 9mile, 9mile is close to Trek/Fisher, Fisher had some prototypes rolling around. I stole the photo from Sam. And the story goes...
It's steel, it has big wheels, it's blue and you can have it blended (gears) or on the rocks (SS). So what are we lookin' at? The Gary Fisher Ferrous. Sam talked to Fisher designer Aaron Mock at the race...
SR: Hey Aaron, is this a sign of things to come?
AM: Probably
I checked the facts with ex-Fisher man Ryan, he confirmed. Aaron is sporting the latest Nike gloves, not due out till next spring, as well as the new Nike baggies. Those look to be some fresh Race X Lite wheels to boot. I'll hopefully have pics up Tuesday night of all the new bikes, Trek World is next week.

Seems like a step backwards in technology with the steel frame. Everything else loooks good.
Some one enlighten me why the steel vs aluminum or other material.
Tom
Steel=Springy
Aluminum=Twangy
Carbon=Woody
Titanium=Funky mix of Steel and Aluminum. Ride quality is highly dependent on the builder. It can be really good or really not good.
Steel is cool cause it's relatively inexpensive, relatively light and has a really cool ride quality.
Some folks from MTBR were asking if this bike has an EBB. Yes it does, it also has a replaceable der hanger that allows you to run geared or single.
