State Champs

Bike racing ain't easy, especially bike racing in Nebraska at the state championships. Countless guys have come from many miles away with thoughts of grand victory, only to be disappointed. Well today the tables turned. The Midwest Wheelmasters boys and girls but on a rocker that wilted many. Yours truly included. The man of the day was ass kickin' Cam Kirkpatrick, who threw down the gauntlet on local heros Kent McNeill and Sir Tony Wilhelm. Overnight rains made for a tacky track that sucked your tires to the earth but allowed you to corner with superhero speed. All categories saw a increase in race length by 1 lap. It pretty much killed me. I'll leave the results and the top stories of the day to the boys at Nebraska Cycling News. If you know whats good for you, we'll see you at the Rave at the Cave next weekend. Marathon distances, campfires, refreshments and spider hunts, don't miss the Rave.
