Day 2, Nebraska Cyclocross Champs. I thought the weather was good the day before but today was even better. Got down early enough to catch the start of the 3/4's race. Kevin was hanging in a four pack battling for third. Think he ended in sixth overall but brought the GOLD home as the Cat 3/4 state champ. Nice work dude, way to kill it. Munson, Pool Boy and myself went for it in the 1,2,3's. Pool Boy put in a last lap charge just missing out on the state championship which went to Sir Tony Wilhelm. Munson and I fought it out at the back yo yoing with each other all day. Brian Jenson won again in front of Bill Stolte and Ethan Froese. Pool Boy grabbed the silver for his hard work taking 5th overall. The battles were intense all weekend with some of the best racing, funnest courses, and loudest crowds I've ever been around. Riders came as far away as Columbia, MO, that's sweet. Jingle cross next weekend for those driving to Iowa City. Then the big daddy UCI event in KC. It ain't over yet folks.

I see the picture of Mark Savery, but where is his "Band of Merry Men" that John Lefler said was following him around the course?
did i miss something?
Lefler announced on one of the laps, "there goes Mark Savery and his band of merry men" when you were in a pack of four riders.
