Well, our worst fears have come true.....The weather forecast and current ground conditions have forced us to POSTPONE this Sunday's HMBCS#1 Truman's Big Love cross country race.
We are currently reviewing the regional race calendar for an open date. Current options include as early as next weekend or mid-June. We willhave confirmation as to the revised date by Tuesday, February 27th.

Worse yet.....
Polo is probably way to soggy to play as well.
Maybe we'll have a solid cover of snow to play but who knows
No, let hope the polo grounds are frozen on Sunday., I know its an outside shot but..... P.S. What moron schedules a MTB race for February in the Midwest. Lets hope they have better luck for the make up.
Argh. I was really psyched to race, too. I even went out and spent too much money on some new clipless pedals, expired gel shots, biking socks, a 50% off frame pump, and some slime tubes which were a lot more than I was expecting. Oh well, now I'm prepped for the next race. Maybe the next race I'll actually have some shape as I can't really delay getting on the road bike and getting some mileage under my belt.
Well then...I guess, I can stay in bed and get rid of my bronchitis first.
Well, the last several days they have had sunshine and temps in the 50's and 60's. You don't have to be a moron to schedule a race in those conditions. Three more days of similar weather would have made this a great race.
Based on their possible postponement dates, they chose this weekend with next weekend as backup if the weather cooperates, otherwise maybe they couldn't put it on till June.
I think previous years it was in mid March so they're only a couple weeks early.
Thanks, Dale I was afraid no one would bite on that one. I can always count on you. A few years back we started doing training crits in late February and had great weather every week. Its just a crap shoot.
