3PO got the scoop at FFL. I'm sure there will be more details at Heartlandrace.com
I'm kinda stoked because that place kicks ass and I was going to miss it.
Come out for the MMBC event at Manawa instead. the weather is looking better and better for the weekend. Partly cloudy and 55 on Saturday, Sunny and 65 on Sunday. Bike demo's, goodie bags, beatiful views of a really muddy river, what can beat that? Oh I don't know, racing bikes with your buddies maybe? Heck yeah! Hope to see everyone out there.

Just came from Manawa, trails are looking good.
Were they dry already?
there is NOTHING on heartlandrace.com to indicate this event has been postponed. Also I am on Matt Dutcher's email list and I rcvd nothing about a postponement. Its not that I don't believe you and CVO, but, please cite your source.
i just emailed matt dutcher. duh, i should ask the source.
Pulled this off the Heartland Web Page:
Heartland XC Race, April 15th-POSTPONED
Written by Craig Stoeltzing

This just isn't the spring for mountain biking racing. Due to the current conditions and forecasted snow and rain for Friday and Saturday, the race this weekend (April 15th) has been POSTPONED.
We are reviewing the regional calendar and checking with the parks department for an open date...most likely in June. We will post a revised race date on our website by Tuesday, April 17th.
We are taking a proactive stance to preserve the sport we love because:
1. We are all mountain bikers and have a great passion for the sport.
2. All of our promoters are not only mountain bike racers, but also individuals that are active trail builders and/or stewarts that will always try to make decisions that are environmentally sound and best for our trail systems.
3. We are racers and have always established the highest standards for Heartland races. We want our races to be fun, competitive, and offer the best racing experience possible. If we know the conditions are going to be substandard, that is not acceptable. We are currently experiencing the coldest April in over 100 years. Momma nature hasn't been very cooperative with our schedule.
okay they just updated their site. bummer. but now i can do manawa!!
Shim, that wasnt there at 9:35 when i looked.
Swanson is ultra-soggy so Manawa is a better choice tomorrow. Sorry racers give it another couple of days.
Cut out the fallen tree that way out there and cut a few relief drains in the soggy areas on tetanus hill before the tree area. Standing water in several areas along the train.
Man, that's 2 for 2 now. Heartland is having a season like Psycowpath did last year. Oh well, at least it's looking good for Manawa.
Teri and I have the whole day tomorrow to kick back and ryde....I think we should come over and play with you folks for awhile....MOD are you or Annie gonna be there Sat.??? Sydney???

Teri is in, so we'll be over Sat. morning around 9:30 or 10. Yippie!!
