All,
Manawa is dry enough to ride. You will still need to keep an eye for a couple "bypasses" at some of the dips due to mud and dismount for one downed-tree. Overall the conditions are good and very rideable, but not up to LtD's "expectations". He asked me to post a trail day announcement.....
On Monday June 18, meet at the River Ramp parking lot at 5pm.
We will need 2 crews to work in opposite directions to make very quick work and get trails back in excellent shape.
Each crew will need:
2 gas weed eaters (Steve and I have 2 weed eaters that others can use, so we need 2 more total).
2 loppers (I have a couple sets...)
2 people w/out tools to move debris cut by loppers.
*** we need more abled-bodied people than tools.
Steve will probably get the tractor from the park and I will run his backpack leaf blower.
Do we have 12 people out there, willing to give about 2+ hours of their time, next Monday to get the Manawa trails back in shape?
Thanks,
Rusty

I'm off at 5PM, I'll get there as soon as I can.
Mike,
I will be there. I will bring a weedeater to the fight.
I will also bring out a couple extra loppers.
See you there.
Shane
I'm in.
I'll bring large water coolers so peeps can keep hydrated.
If we get our bob trailer back, we have that to haul stuff.
great coordination fellas. I'll be on a flight to chicago though, but I'd rather be with you guys.
I'll eat some weed or lopp some pop:)
I'll be there to lend a couple of hands.
The Goathead contingency is planning on being there, perhaps about 5 or 6 of us. Between us all, we might be able to scrounge up a weed whacker, other than that, we're simply unskilled and undocumented labor.
It might be tough to get there by 5, but it sounds like there's going to be enough work to keep people busy for a while. We'll just jump in where we can.
