maybe the "hairpin" needs a name?

I ate and got back out for one more lap. It was the only time I have gone down at Swanson; and it was on the new switch back. i hit it too fast (slow) and felt like i was gonna go over the edge and x'ed up the olde bars.

It's the trickiest turn in the park.

I say we call it the "T-bone"

Sounds good to me:) In fact I say we give names to all the different areas. That will help when trying to explain parts of the trail instead of saying "You know that one section over by that climb that turns right and goes down by that dead tree".

Just be careful with naming the parts of the trail. It can be confusing to folks who weren't in on the initial naming discussions. I have a pretty good idea where "The Root of All Evil" is, but I'm not sure. Maybe the maps on the THOR kiosks could label the trail sections with their names?

rode it again today. it seems much faster of the up-top. Way more fun. ( i had a really funny thing to say about the hair pin turn ( the T-bone ( I took it at a decent speed and thought i should type "well i didn't get 'T-boned' " ))) haha.

It is funny about naming things, because one part of Swanson I named after Ms. Broken Ribs, I call it 'Lynden's Bane' to my friends that ride. the best part is that they know what i am talking about.

We were there last night and the new trail is breaking in nicely. It's still a little soft but after only 2 days it's already fast and fun.

I almost crashed once in the T-bone. If you don't get the line right it's tricky. I'll be back out there tonight after work for some more fun.
