things you forget to bring

I've went riding before and forgot things - shoes, helmet, gloves. Even had to wear my daughter's shorts once b/c I thought they were mine. Today, I dressed in bike clothes from the house. I drop Hannah off at art class in Ft Calhoun. I open the side door and get my camelbak, hat, helmet, glasses, and gloves on, walk around back and open up the hatch -

I forgot the bike!!!

That's what happens when you don't ride to where you're going! ;D

Seriously though, that's the most odd story of "things you forget" I've heard. Be prepared to get a lot of flack for that one!

How do i get to my old stuff said...

That's funny. But you know what? Before I load up and leave to go trippin in the car w/ the bike, I name everything off INCLUDING the bike. Just cuz I have this horrifying thought of arriving to race sans wheels or bike or helmet or shoes. Sheesh. :D

You should have just ran down the trail prentending you were on a bike like that guy on that Visa commercial waiting for his rewards.

Never done that one before... I hope I never do what you did.

That's bad, hope you had some trail tools or running shoes.

Ya, I have to laugh at myself sometimes. I took it as a sign I wasn't suppose to ride gravel in 30mph winds yesterday. 8D

Walked a quad trail with Ginger for about 45 mins. Should have left all my gear on to emulate the VISA guy with BRAAAAPPP! sound effects!

I keep a book in the van to read if I happen on some down time. Sat on a yard swing in the sun and read. Nice and relaxing.

Threw a bag of trash on top of my jeep to drop off at the dumpster before leaving for work one morning. When I arrived at my parking spot (16th & Harney ( I live on a 120th & Blondo))
There the bag of trash sat waiting for me to throw into the dumpster back home. I bicycle in good company Dale.
