Manawa Update

Martin, Blaine and I walked the north side, and I walked a good chunk of the south side. Parts are in excellent shape, but there are many long tracts of greasy mud and submerged trail, and several impassable areas that clearly will not drain by Sunday. The double track staging and starting areas are particularly bad. In addition, the river is still rising and may crest high enough to affect the course as well. There will be no race this weekend. We are now looking at alternative dates for the race. Roxy will have a formal announcement soon about everything.

Thanks for all the hard work guys and gals. We'll have to get it in even if it's on a week night !

Yes, it's true. It was a painful decision, but we have lots of summer left, so let's use it.

A news release in on nebraskacyclingnews.com. A new date will be posted by the end of the weekend.

Now, go out and enjoy that pavement. Not.
