Shoot, I was even out there and I can walk to work (just down the hall from my bedroom).

I wanted to go. My co-worker had the day off so I had to work at 8am.

Excellent, and it's about friggin time. For years I've said that what this city needed was an east-west bike route straight down the center to end the current all-roads-lead-to-Bellevue annoyance. If they're looking for some ideas, I would suggest a route down Leavenworth, through Elmwood Park, and then straight west on Pacific. This would connect almost every bike trail in the city.

This is great news!!! I agree we need more east to west biker friendly ways to travel (that doesn't just go to Bellevue). LOL.

If I head west, Pacific is pretty much the main road I take. It goes as far West as 225th(?) and is the most mellow, traffic-wise, of the large streets that cross the interstate. I think it'd be the perfect candidate for and east/west bike lane that could jaunt through Elmwood then start another bike lane at Leavenworth.

Leavenworth is being considered as part of the loop. The enhancements will probably be creative in nature due to the existing structural barriers in place.
