The NE crew took to the highway and invaded the black hills town of Spearfish and the Dakota Five-O. The results were impressive. Roxzanne Abbott bettered her already ripping fast course record and won for the third straight year. Nate Woodman and Jesse Peterson took 7th and 8th in the 30-39 class with Matt Tillinghast coming in top 20 to boot. Tony Wilhelm took 3rd in the 29 and under class, on an SS. Eric Brunt and yours truly took 9th and 12th in the SS class. I didn't catch the results of all the others but sitting through the raffle it seemed like every other rider called was from Nebraska. Norfolk, Paxton, Wayne, Fremont, even Council Bluffs was representing. I'd say that easily 10% of the field was from NE. Highlight for me was the addition of bacon to the 5th unofficial aid station, dubbed the "bacon station". An ice cold PBR and strip of bacon hit the spot 38 miles in. Photos are all about, Scott, Dan, Hoss, Mark.
