Sugar Bottom Scramble

A small handful of us skipped out on Branched Oak and headed to my favorite midwest course to race the Sugar Bottom Scramble. The race served as the Iowa State Championship this year and at 30 miles and over two and half hours of racing it was a tough one.

Shim took a strong 3rd in the Expert Open class behind Cam Kirkpatrick and Brian Eppen.

Paul Webb fired on his first Expert race and pulled off a 6th place pay position.

Sioux City Velo's Jay Chesterman rode to 5th in the Expert class.

And Larry Kintner's nephew Ryan made the drive down from Wisco to finish 2nd in the Sport class.

Yours truly hung out in the single speed category and brought home a hard fought win.
