Cyclocross This Weekend

The Omaha Cyclocross Weekend is happening at Swanson Saturday and Sunday. The course has several sand runs, two sharp short climbs, a maze, and some wide open portions, so it gives everyone a chance to show off their strengths. Here's a link with more information. The weather is predicted to be perfect. This is a great opportunity for beginners to check out cross racing, so get out that beater bike, or your Ridley with those Dugasts glued to 404s. C'mon out and race!

If you have a spare hour or two, we can use volunteers to help lay down the course Saturday morning. I'll be starting the work around 7:30. You could lend a hand and then try out the course, or head out for a ride on the mountain bike course (if you're not racing).

I'll help, Randy. Did you want to do any prep work on Friday? Andy & I pre-rode the 'cross area and it looks like the gravel road section will need a lot of trimming.

I'm headed over tomorrow morning (starting around 9AM) with a weed whacker to clean that area up and get started on setting up the course. Any help is welcome if you have the time.
