Sweet day with 150+ friends

Gotta say that yesterday had to be one of the best race days in years. Perfect temps, low wind, and trail conditions so good it'd make you cry. Big thanks to all the tifosi out there cheering the racers on and an even bigger thanks to Roxy and her crew of volunteers for making it happen. Can't wait to do it again next week.

No pics from me as I was in the saddle all day but the paparazzi was in full force out on the trail so I'm sure pics will be plentiful.

Absolutely fantastic race day! Thank you to Roxy, Ryan, & crew. Also, whoever did the trail markings deserves a medal because that was the best marked course I've ever seen at Swanson (yeah we all know the course, but you know how it goes when you're all jacked up and tired). Thanks, too, to Munson for some good, professional-type officiating. Best race day I can remember! Oh, and thanks to "free hamburger guy" - like Chris Farley used to say, "that was awesome."

Free burgers were courtesy of Mike Bartels, another member of Midwest Cycling Community. Mike & his company EDGE Physical Therapy provided the free food. Gotta love that. Check 'em out here:

Couldn't have said it any better, RF. It was a fine, fine day for racing.

And today when I took down all of the race tape that the crew so perfectly put up, I was very proud because after 150+ riders had gone through, I found only 1 goo pack on the ground. As a member of THOR, I wanna say THANKS for your efforts to leave no trace. Great job!

Hey-thanks to the very kind person that brought the polar bottle back from where it jumped off my bike on the descent near the fire training center.
