Dave, I know you don't have a spacesuit....what did you wear for that? Everything you own?

apocalyptic, biblical hardcore sounds like winter thus far.

that is awesome. It was 5 degrees when I got home from a 40mi ride Sunday at 4:30pm. I had to stop twice to get the feeling back into my fingers.

Randy,
Here's what I wear: two pairs of socks, long underwear (actually pajamas, they're warmer and I'm already wearing them!), pants, three shirts, fleece jacket, windproof shell, two hats, a neck gaiter, goggles, boots, and mittens. The only part of my body that is exposed is the tip of my nose, and yes it does get cold! It takes almost as long to ride to work (2 miles) as it does to get dressed to ride to work.

For you bespectacled winter adventurers, wearing goggles can be a pain. I found some goggles that will fit over my glasses, but often would not wear then because my glasses would fog up underneath the goggles. The goggles never fogged.

Yesterday and today I tried a trick I'd heard once. Buffing a drop of liquid soap on both sides of each lens will prevent fogging, at least for a while.
