Thanks Mother Nature

Welp, Swanson's not so good now. I know, I know, we needed the rain. It'll probably just make the trails sweeter, but the not so distant future is looking bleak. I see more rain coming in over the weekend. Polo might be wet. I guess we can take comfort that it's warming up though.

More toad racing (road) going on this weekend in Lincoln. And how about Kid Rock taking the lead at Paris-Nice. Floyd is pinning it this spring. He should come back to his roots and win some MTB world cups for the old stars and bars! I was reading about his race program on cyclingnews.com and he's racing both the Giro and the Tour. Looks like there's a few guys that are going to try the double this year, Ivan Basso being the other big name.

But the real question is, who's going to be winning the Psycowpath marathon events? This will probably go to his head, but I'm betting on Shim. He's the only one riding more than RF!

I have to put in long hours just to keep up with these genetic freaks.

Have you seen the prizes for the marathons? Shim will have some competition. Word has it that Peterson likes money.

I'me voting for my riding partners.
MG, and W.
probably MG though, I don't know if W is gonna make it to all the events.... and I don't know if he's interested..

no, I'll stick with MG, I think he's got it this year...

Peterson. he hasn't even started riding yet.

something about having to get punched in the mouth by his dentist this april to fix his jaw...

poor boy's gonna be drinking his food for a while I guess....

thats right-- he'll be drinking his food. out of a water bottle while he's passing us. I don't think that boy needs to train.

My prediction on the Marathon Event.....three letters and no local rider will be close (sorry MG).

CAM

He gets faster the longer the race. Only down side is that damn T-Square he carrier with him all the time.

PS, we rode L&C tonight, as you say....Sweet Bacon.

The marathons will be interesting. Depends on who shows and where they're at in their training. If Chambers makes the trip, he did well at Platte last year.

We rode Tranquility tonight. I spread a layer of pine needles on the Enchanted Forest switchbacks. Worked great for traction.

The triple switchback in the Nursery was the most difficult to clean, spinning yet hardly moving. Great practice on balance and pedal stroke.

Last night rode riverside north to L&C. Good times, dirst hookin up well. Since I thought we were on pavement, I only had my commuter light. So learned a few things ridin behind roxy and her HID light. It like learning all over again to "look down the trail." good times. and decent bbq post-ride.
