bummer. I learned more mechanical info from that guys site... and the gear calculators are awesome. its amazing how many people have referenced him and his web tools.
He's one of the main influences on my commuting. Anytime I had questions about bike stuff, his website explained things better than any other website. He was a master mechanic and a great character. He will be missed.

Depressing to hear about him. Read through some of his journal on his website-hope I achieve the same attitude to life he had.
