the commuters-- my new steed!

My new, first ever, singlespeed. Built up with an old frame from the bikeway and some parts & wheels I had laying around. The fenders and lights make it extra special for riding to the bar, which function I got to test out tonight. A few beers later, and this bike rocks more than ever!

Note: a 38x17 is way too big a gear to follow Dickey around Manawa. But its just right for cruzin to the crescent moon!

Thanks to Bob for the Surly tuggnut & cog to get me started. And the planetbike fenders keep it super clean!

I'm using a "geared" rear wheel with old cassette spacers and a SS cog from Bob, but the chain still likes to jump once in a while. If I can get that solved, you may see this rockin the Cx race this weekend. Fenders and all. Somebody bring Bailey's for the coffee bus dude.

Damn dude, is that saddle left over from 1993. Did you even know how to ride a bike back then? You better give your dad his saddle back.

Nice SS RF, glad I could contribute.

Is that a $140 Easton stem on your bike? That is so messed up. I wish I had those kind of part lying around. You still owe me a sixer for those bars. I'm like an elephant. I never forget. Sweet bike man.

Hey, RF owes me for a stem too. He's had for like a year!
