Had another great group of about 20 people show up for the second trail day at Jewell park. We split into two groups, the Deal took half and headed off to finish the final trail that goes back to the parking lot. MIB took the rest of us to two new sections that paralleled Combs road. I'd say we added another 7 or 8 minutes to the loop.
Look out for the blue house lady, she freaked out again, even called the police this time. The Deal got it all worked out. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out over time. She doesn't have a clue where her property line is.
Quite a bit of bench work is left to do. If anyone is free, I'll be out Tuesday morning weather permitting. Hopefully it will be a bit dryer by then and we can ride it as well. It was pretty greasy today.

So how much more did you guys get done after Pancakes and I left?
Not sure, I had to take off as well. Deal was taking a crew back to the section that bordrs combs road to do some more bench work...
The trail that runs along the road is benched and scraped. It could probably use some support to hold a few spots on the bench. Also, the new "Gut Pile" section needs some work. We need to get a couple of bridges done and then it is good to go.
what is a gut pile? is that poop?
will the trail be rideable or is it too muddy sometime tues or wed?
Manawa is muddy but should be in good shape by Tuesday afternoon.
I'm think I'm meeting Shim Tuesday morning. Shim??? Ride either before or after trail work, depending on how dry it gets today. If it hits 50 today like it's supposed to it should be good. Timo just came by the shop and said Riverside is good.
Rusty, bring your clinometer along if you come out. I'd be interested in seeing what some of the grades are. A gut pile is what's left when you gut a deer. The poachers were out in full force until we came along.
Let's ride and pack it in!
