The man behind the bike

What can be said about Ben Serotta. His bikes are second to none and to top it off he invited us into his home for a post fit school dinner. I've been to quite a few factories over the years, and met many CEO's, but never have I experienced so much hospitality. Ben's a class act through and through. He's made bicycles for just about every top american cyclist. Like Jay Thomas even!

Yeah Ben's a road guy, but I got into a mountain bike conversation with him (imagine that!), I think there might be some off-road bikes in Serotta's future.

Photos of the factory are on the way, I'm having Bloggerbot issues.

Oh yeah, I ran into Tony from Lincoln at the factory. For those that don't know Tony he recently got a job at Serotta as one of their painters. He's doing good and liking it. When I saw him he was masking up some new $5000 Ottrott frames

It seriously looks like you guys are standing in front room at the D St. Hotel. Maybe I should lay off the malt liquor for 10 seconds and make sure there isn't a whole pile of Serottas in the basement. I've probably just been using them for bookends or backscratchers without even realizing it. Aww, man, see all this ductwork is really just Legend framesets joined together and the hot water heater is a bunch of Ottrott all welded together. Who knew?

You do need to lay off the malt liquor Johnny, cuz we WERE in your front room!

I explicitly remember you telling us to "get the F*$! out!"

I thought you wanted a titanium re-pipe for the Hotel, so we flew Ben in. It's much lighter than copper and won't fatigue out when it starts to rattle as you turn on the hot water.
