Saying goodby.......

Hey all, River Side North is slated to be removed this fall. It will be cleared from the 480 bridge north to the swinging railroad bridge. All the trees will be remove and a chute for the river built in it's place. It's part of the new bridge project thats to be built, and to make the area more enjoyable ( to whom?) for the public. So get out and ride it while you can. I first started riding there in...........................

Man that's crap, first river side south NOW north! WTF?

So what's a CHUTE? And why do they need one?

development baby yeah! why do we need one? A nice bridge to ride over to all those nice paved trails in CB, rather than riding over the 480 bridge. And now I'll have a direct path from my office, over the river, to L&C. SWEET. Ro side north was nice and fun, fo sho.

A chute will be a river access off the river. Kind of like an exit ramp the back onto the river. I think the need is a back to the river development that CB is doing to try a revitalize the area so it will be more accessible to the public. There are plans for development at the Playland park and 480. I think river condos and apts.

Actualy you have to hand it to the City, they are taking a virtual piece of crap property and turning it into something everyone will use and that should be pretty cool. Lets face it nobody really rides the River trails that much, and usually complain about some aspect of it when they do. Sure, I have good memories of the place and the people I have ridden with there, but lets face it we have all moved on. Thanks for the memories. RIP.

It's a sad day when they choose to bulldoze a clear cut trees in the name of development. It's cheap design, what I call west coast development. There's no sense of history. It will just be another Jobbers Canyon. Something cool, gone forever. Hopefully they won't clear cut all the trees out.

Rox, the swing bridge is still used, during the harvest season, so stay the f... off!

Mod,you thought Jobbers Canyon was cool? My guess...you were never there and maybe these are P-Cake's thoughts...hummmm. Jobbers Canyon was cool if your idea of cool is shit box empty buildings and a lot of rats. Grow up hippies! Maybe we should have left Swanson Park as a dump.
