Track & Back

Got this from the "in box" this morning, check it out...

Mark, I’d spoken with you via email briefly earlier this Summer regarding a 50 & 100mile bike ride taking place in Central Iowa on October 18th, 2008. It’s called Track and Back – “One Hilluva Ride”. It begins in Des Moines and proceeds East to the Iowa Speedway where riders are then served lunch and get to ride their bikes around the “official NASCAR” race track. They’ll then head back to Des Moines for a post ride party.

We’ve got light breakfast of bagels, yogurt, fruit, Danish, coffee and OJ before the start. Deli sandwiches, chips & cookies for lunch and a post ride BBQ dinner for all participants. There are also 3 Aid/H2O stations along the route, each being hit twice by riders because it’s an “out and back”. Last years inaugural rider raised just under $7,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs and we’re aiming much higher this year!

Lastly, we’ve also got many “giveaway” prizes for only participants to win. We aren’t diluting the chances either by selling additional tickets either. If there is 250 riders, participants will have a 1 in 250 chance of winning. We’ve even got a brand new road bike being donated by a local bike shop.
