I have always wanted to ride in that area of town. If I show up with my MTB will I be the odd man out? I promise I will wash it so it does not dirty up the course.

No worries, all are welcome, you will not be alone.

I have another question if I can. I am trying to get my wife and child to come down, which means we would be doing the 11 mile ride. Are the rides more a community type of ride rather then a race inspired event. This would be the longest ride they have ever done. I do not want to place them in a highly competitive ride. I am hoping to turn them on to cycling!

No racing here, just pure love and support. We will have refreshments at the turnaround of the 11 miler as well as in the sag vehicle for the 22 miler.
